The Baby Maker is Lili Valente’s newest romance. It will leave you smiling and sighing with contentment upon turning of the final page. Her ability to create vivid and entertaining stories through her masterful writing are always a pleasure to read, and her characters always charm and captivate me.
Emma is a strong and confident woman who knows what she wants. She wants a baby before her biological clock stops ticking. The only problem is she doesn’t have a man in her life to help her accomplish what she wants. So upon overhearing about the ability of the Hunter men, her neighbors, to get the job done with a shake of a hand, Emma decides this is her only option. The only problem is she has been butting heads with Dylan Hunter over land. But her determination is prevailing.
Emma confronts Dylan with her plan – a baby in exchange for the land. Despite the powerful connection he feels with Emma, his first impulse is to say no. But the intense attraction they share won’t permit him to reject her offer, especially if his prize will ultimately be the land he’s been after. But from their first night together the connection they share grows quickly leaving them both to wonder how they will ever been able to say goodbye.
I fell in love with Emma and Dylan pretty quickly, and once again Ms. Valente included many fantastic support characters which rounded out this story as well. The continuing banter and oh-so-hot and steamy moments shared between Emma and Dylan left me laughing and swooning and in need of a cold shower. Lili Valente continues to outdo herself novel after novel keeping her name at the top of my authors I must read list. Well done Ms. Valente.
Lili Valente has slept under the stars in Greece, eaten dinner at midnight with French men who couldn’t be trusted to keep their mouths on their food, and walked alone through Munich’s red light district after dark and lived to tell the tale.
These days you can find her writing in a tent beside the sea, drinking coconut water and thinking delightfully dirty thoughts.
