Another phantasmagorical story from Lili Valente. From virtual cover to cover, The Troublemaker is absolutely magical and will leave you smiling with pure contentment as well as capture your heart.
From the moment Carrie and Rafe meet, the sexual heat and connection speaks volumes to them both. But they both agree a relationship is out of the question since they are technically family because her sister and his brother are married and they are sure there are rules against it. But the sexual tension and playful exchanges make them both feel a deep connection they’ve never before experienced. But Carrie is running from trouble created by her ex who is seeking revenge. And they both are guarding their hearts and keeping walls erected to keep them safe. But when unadulterated passion overtakes them both, will they finally be able to allow their protective barriers to fall and let their hearts be overtaken by a love they both deserve to share together?
I fell in love with Rafe and Carrie immediately. And in typical Lili Valente style, the sarcasm and comical banter they share throughout this novel were entertaining and so much fun to read. Once again, Ms. Valente has created a enchanting couple whose sexual escapades and to-the-depths-of-their souls love left me spellbound and definitely wanting more.
The Troublemaker can be read as a stand-alone, but Rafe and Carrie are siblings to the characters in The Baby Maker. So if you haven’t had a chance to read that story, I would highly recommend it as well. And remember keep an eye out for Rafe’s brother, Tristan’s story. It’s gonna be a fantastic one.
