I absolutely loved Second Chance Romance! I was hooked from the start and it didn’t disappoint. It will make you smile, cry, scream, shout, swoon, and want to reach inside your screen and bitch slap the mother of all bitches of a mother!

The story of Jules and Noah begins when they are just children. They lived next door to each other and became instant friends and spent all their time together. Jules home life wasn’t stable and one particular night it became a house that was scary and so she ran to the one person she could rely on–Noah. From that night on she stayed with Noah at night and their friendship and love grew. Noah–even as a child–always protected and made Jules feel safe. He loved her from the start. Noah **sigh** is just too perfect for words. I <3 Noah!

Cue the Bitch!!

Abigail gets the award for worst mother ever! Divorced from Jules’ dad she dated often and didn’t give a crap about Jules or the type of men she exposed her daughter too. She always put her down and never did anything that would make you think she ever wanted her but Abigail wasn’t about to give her up. Jules = money. If she gave Jules away then she would be cut off from the support that she got from Jules absent father.  So she kept her around and made her life miserable. Abigail is a jealous woman who–once she found her opportunity–took Jules away from the one person in her life that was constant.

Jules and Noah officially started dating when in their mid to late teens. They knew they would always be together and even though they have been sharing a bed almost every night since she was eleven they hadn’t taken that final step. Her mom though didn’t believe her and she packed her up soon after she caught her crawling through her window.  Jules and Noah promised each other they wouldn’t let the distance change their plans to be together forever. Their last night together was very romantic and made my heart go pitter-patter and smile from ear to ear.

Fast forward 10 years later, Jules is attending grad school and living with her new BFF Ellie and they both work at a gentlemen’s club in order to pay for college. They were the most popular girls at the club and they were requested to perform at a bachelor party. Whose bachelor party could it be? Yep, Noah! He sees her she sees him and…

she bolts! Poor Noah is left there but all he can think about is how he needs to find her. Noah has some thinking to do! He searches, he finds, he dumps the fiancée. Noah is determined not to let his second chance with Jules slip through his fingers but will it be so simple?

No! It isn’t that simple and lots and lots of things get thrown in their way–a few really shocked me! **mouth hanging open** People start popping up, secrets are revealed, plans are made, fights are started, bitches can’t mind their business and you are left wanting to scream and throw things and there is NOTHING you can do about it but ride it out! I seem to always read these parts of a book at like midnight and then I am up pissed off or crying. Why do we do this to ourselves?

Sophie Monroe did an excellent job with pulling me into this story and making me love Noah and Jules. I not only wanted to see them get their HEA but I wanted to hit anyone who got in their way. Are you wondering if Second Chance Romance ends HEA…well, I will never tell ya! Lips are sealed! I also loved that there is a lot of music references and inspiration in this book–at the ends Sophie provides you with a play list which I was so thankful for.
