Kat Mackenzie left Dillon O’Malley at the altar two years ago, breaking his heart. She left her job, left her home, and left the love of her life without any explanation as to why. But when she discovers a major malfunction at the nuclear plant where she now works, her only hope to get answers is to contact Dillon again and pray that he doesn’t blow her off – or discover the secret of why she left. Soon, Kat’s concerns are realized and it becomes a race against time to avoid a devastating disaster. Just as it seems everything is calm, new threats come into their lives causing more trouble than before. The results will either bring Kat and Dillon back together, or tear them apart for good.

Wanted by Marissa Garner is a story of two characters who love each other dearly, but allow a miscommunication to come between them. A simple conversation would have changed everything. Kat and Dillon love each other, and those feelings do not change in their time apart. This is an important point, as it takes a lot of trust for these two to come together to solve the issue. I have not read any of the other books in the FBI Heat series, but this book does well as a standalone. There are no unanswered questions and the supporting characters are not so involved with the story that it causes readers to be more curious about them than the plot.
